While driving down Interstate 84 through southern Idaho, it seems as though the high desert couldn't provide family adventure. I was right until we took the time to weave our way through Haggerman, over to Buhl, through some rich farmland, and stopped at Balanced Rock. People that stop and hike to the stone on a pedestal find themselves dwarfed by the massive boulder. God's awesome creation is undeniable here. The Balanced Rock adventure is the epitome of a must - do day hike. Balanced Rock is a major hidden gem of southern Idaho.
