Adoption

This post is a starting point for me, and maybe someone else, to aid with the situations and emotions that come with the adoption issue as a whole.  I was adopted when I was two months- old.  My mother gave me up for adoption so that I could have a stable mother and father.

I grew up in rural northern Minnesota.  Now that I think about it, what part of northern Minnesota isn't rural?  As I grew up, my parents informed me that I was adopted.  I grew up with outstanding parents.  Life was good, and there was no need-to-know feeling within me about my birth parents.  It wasn't until my oldest daughter was born that I took interest in finding my birth parents.  There were a lot of family health questions that were asked and I didn't have the answers to them.  With the help of my wife, I eventually found and contacted my birth mother and birth father.

It has been almost six years and integration into the family has been flawless so far.  I still am looking forward to meeting my dad and his side of the family.
There will be more stories, issues, and topics to discuss in future posts about this subject.
